The Speech Pathologist will be responsible for providing early intervention support to children and their families in collaboration with the service delivery team.

The Speech Pathologist may be providing support as a Key Worker or as a consultant on the transdisciplinary team.

They will work closely with the Senior Speech Pathologist to achieve the goals of the organisation for best practice service delivery.

The Speech Pathologist reports to the Team Leader and is responsible to the General Manager. The Speech Pathologist is a member of the service delivery team and works with the leadership / management team and administration team to support children and their families.

Essential Requirements and Selection Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualifications and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Demonstrated ability to work within a billable model and be accountable for daily activities
Demonstrated ability to develop functional goals with a family and build capacity in the child’s networks in the child’s natural environments (e.g. home, school and in the community)
Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with the transdisciplinary team using the Key Worker model to support children and their families
Demonstrated ability to implement the National Guidelines for Best Practice in Early Intervention when working with children and their families
Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

On the job training, support & supervision and professional development will be provided.

New graduates will receive additional support & supervision.

Not-for-Profit salary packaging is available, which can increase take home pay.
